I’m coordinator of Semiofest’s series of informal online “sessions.” These events are intended not only to share best practices among, but to nurture collegiality and friendship within the global semio community.

ASK THE SEMIOTICIAN

In our second session we will be taking a turn away from theory towards the commercial realities of doing semiotics. An extremely experienced panel will share anecdotes and their wisdom around the complexities of client management issues and trouble-shooting skills in semiotic projects they have worked on. All four speakers are previous organisers of Semiofest.

After all the panelists have introduced themselves and shared there will be a Q&A session.

  • VLADIMIR DJUROVIC is Founder and CEO of LabBrand a Shanghai based brand agency that creates brand identity and naming and focuses on designing digital brand.
  • CHARLES LEECH is EVP at ABM, a Toronto-based global research agency specializing in qualitative / semiotics research. He inspired the very 1st Semiofest.
  • LUCA MARCHETTI is Co-Founder of the Prospectivists a collective based in Paris that focuses on semiotics, market research, cultural insight, foresight, innovation.
  • GABRIELA PEDRANTI is Co-Founder of SemioticaStudio a company which offers semiotic and cultural analysis for social, trend and market research in Latin America and Spain.
