Gianlluca Simi is a market researcher and semiotician based in São Paulo. After a harsh break-up with academia, he transitioned into the research industry to have a more impactful role whilst still being able to aspire to a solid career. With 500+ projects in his portfolio, he's now focused on the entertainment and storytelling industry, working directly with major studios on research projects about new shows and films all over the world. He holds a PhD in Critical Theory & Cultural Studies from the University of Nottingham and is working towards an MBA in Data Science at the University of São Paulo (USP).
