Born and raised between Detroit, London and New York City, Tim acquired a curiosity for people at an early age. Tim is the co-founder of scenarioDNA a foresight consultancy that uses both consumer anthropology and data science to advise global clients on how to leverage cultural trends. He is the co-inventor of a patented methodology of Culture Mapping that analyzes patterns in culture using computational linguistics and machine learning to visualize trend narratives and forecasts. Tim is an Associate Teaching Professor at Parsons School of Design | The New School for more than 17 years teaching trend analysis and design strategy. He is also contributing faculty to the Institute of Design Knowledge in Hong Kong. Tim is a frequent speaker on culture and innovation and has appeared in various publications such as The New York Times, The Financial Times, The Toronto Star and Quartz on topics ranging from food to politics. Tim holds a graduate degree in Cinema Studies from New York University.
